A mom in Indiana trying to teach her kids about being timely, took the lesson way too far.

Jasmine White, 27, reportedly played a game with her 8-year-old and 6-year-old where she drove off in her car as the kids tried to catch up and jump in. Now she’s facing several charges after the Aug. 29 incident, including neglect of a dependent resulting in serious injury, and neglect of a dependent placing the dependent in a dangerous situation, WNDU reports.

White’s 8-year-old child was rushed to a hospital after her foot got entangled under the rear tire of White’s car, also resulting in skull and orbital fractures. She also had severe facial lacerations that resulted in her skull being exposed.

The 6-year-old told authorities that the kids usually race the mom to the car, she then locks the door as if she’ll pull off. The game took a tragic turn when the 8-year-old child tried to hold fast to the doorknob and was dragged and ran over by the car going about 15 to 20 miles per hour, before her head hit the ground.

White is due in court Monday, Sept. 16.
