Just last week, a Cancun Beach shooting incident in the Riu Palace Las Americas Hotel area was reported. Investigators now say that they have a lead with the arrest of the man involved in the murderers’ escape. One week since the tragic death of a 31-year-old Mexican business entrepreneur, the cops are yet to ascertain why he was killed entirely. However, they now have Melvin Eli “N” in custody who was wanted following the tragedy. Eli had supplied the killers with the jetski they rode to commit the murder. The Cancun Police declared that it was the company’s property where he served as an employee.

Arrest Made in Connection with Jet Ski Escape in Cancun Beach Shooting

Riviera Maya News reported the Cancun Beach Shooting that left many with questions. On a sunny breezy afternoon on October 2, a Mexican native enjoying the beach was targeted. The killers who arrived at the scene in a jetski, sprayed their target with bullets ensuring that he was not living before they left.

Expectedly, there was chaos on the scene as eyewitnesses scampered for safety. But within minutes police help arrived with the authorities barricading the place of the crime. The incident happened on Kukulcan Boulevard close to Riu Palace Hotel. However, immediately after the fatality, the hotel’s management clarified that they were in no way connected to the deceased. He was not a staff member nor was he a visitor.

At the time of the homicide, cops were unable to determine the reason for the fatality. But in the days that followed they have explained that the shot fellow was connected to drug crimes. These crimes had been committed in the Benito Juárez area of the city.

Eli, the man who gave the shooters the jet ski to escape from the Cancun Beach shooting scene, was handcuffed by investigative police. Since then he has been held in custody in the Social Reintegration Center Of Cancun. As the days pass, more details about his possible involvement will come to light.
