Unthinkable Tragedy: Father Loses His Life In A North Carolina Road Rage Incident
According to witnesses, Terrell Eugene Giddens, 75, reached for his firearm and shot multiple times at his challenger’s vehicle. Sadly, Guida’s life ended as a result. But somehow, his kids aged 2, 11, and 13 were unharmed despite being in the vehicle. Once the police arrived at the scene, witnesses described the shooter and with their details, he was apprehended in his home at Sherrills Ford.
Following his arrest, Giddens was booked for murder, and three counts of attempted first-degree murder. Ahead of his appearance in Catawba County District Court which was scheduled for October 14, an attorney was suggested. However, the suspect declined to use an attorney from the state. Instead, he told the judge that he would contract a lawyer.
Amid waiving his rights to a court appointee, the Catawba Sheriff’s Office did not say who eventually represented the accused. WSOC TV however reported that the family of the North Carolina road rage victim was present at Giddens’ first hearing. But they refused to pass any comment.
