HERO dad, Frank Gervasi, was willing to die trying to look for his teenage daughter, Emmarae. After nearly a month of her disappearance, he infiltrated a boat to rescue her. He was faster than the police who eventually arrested the suspect.
Frank Gervasi’s family was thrown into a nightmare after Emmarae went missing. The 14-year-old had raced outside her home in East Patchogue, Suffolk County. She intended to retrieve some items from a Jeep parked outside their home. However, the teen failed to be back in time.
About a day later, surveillance cameras picked her up knocking on doors around Bohemia. The young lady appeared lost as she wandered a few miles from her own home. Amid this clip, the authorities did not immediately get her location. But after 26 days of searching, Frank got a breakthrough and eventually rescued Emmarae.
The dad confessed that he worked closely with the Suffolk County Police and a tipster. He told the police his daughter had been kidnapped and was possibly shuffled for sex trafficking. Without waiting for backup, Frank headed for Long Island with the White Cap Fish Market in mind. The concerned dad then entered into a big boat around the area where he spotted his child.
Per News 12, Frank Gervasi said he rescued Emmarae in a “Taken” style. The film featured Liam Neeson who against all odds, rescues his Kidnapped daughter. But this was not until he had tied up loose ends. Police eventually arrived and they arrested 65-year-old Francis Buckheit. The suspect has been charged with rape, kidnapping,g and acting in an injurious manner to a minor.
