Hoda Kotb Breaks Down In Tears Over Drew Brees’ Generous $5M Charity Donation

Hoda Kotb chatted with NFL Star Drew Brees on “Today” about his $5 million donation to aid in Coronavirus relief efforts in Louisiana.

Immediately after she thanked him, Koda became so overwhelmed with emotion over Brees’ astounding act of kindness, that she broke down in tears live on air. Savannah Guthrie, also on the show, tried to console her.

“I know where your heart is, my dear,” she said before offering to read Hoda’s tease.

Hoda has a deep-rooted passion for Louisiana and the state is reportedly experiencing the fastest growth in new cases in the world of COVID-19 right now.

Drew Brees’ donation will go a very long way and we’re sure the whole state appreciates the love as much as Hoda Kotb!
