A homeless man was arrested for reportedly trying to kidnap an 11-year-old boy from outside his home in Alliance, Ohio, as reported by the NY Post. The suspect identified as 39-year-old Joshua Freyermuth, was wearing a blond wig, makeup, pearls, and high heels when he was taken into custody.

According to the police, he approached the boy and his dog on Sunday and tried to get the boy to come with him. This happened just a few days after he was released from jail following a drug bust.

“I need to talk to you,”

Freyermuth allegedly told the boy, the police report stated.

Police say Freyermuth, who is sometimes called Vicky and had makeup smudged on his face in his mugshot, reportedly tried to grab the boy. The boy was able to break free, and Freyermuth fled on foot, according to the police.

“When he grabbed my son’s arm, my dog attacked him and then he stumbled back off the stairs,”

the victim’s father, Zachery Thurmond, told the local outlet.

“He kicked his heels off, my son said he had white high heels on, and then he took off running down the street.”

Freyermuth was caught shortly after the incident. His arrest happened just two days after he was arrested on drug charges for having meth in his car but was let go. In that incident, police had stopped him because they received reports of someone driving around trying to talk to kids. The suspect’s bail was set at $100,000.
