Now #Clique, this one is going to ruffle your feathers.
Two Georgia parents are outraged and ready to throw blows after they learned their 6-year-old daughter Aylah somehow came home nearly naked.
Avishaye Daniels said that last Friday she sent Aylah to school fully clothed yet when she came home, she had on nothing but a mere T-shirt and her underoos, WALB reports.
“I was mad, but I was more shocked than anything,” she said.
To add insult to injury, Aylah was reportedly walking around in her nighties from noon until 3 p.m.
“How can you look over my 6-year-old daughter in just a T-shirt and panties, socks and shoes for three hours?” said Daman Bell, Aylah’s dad.
Baker County Schools Principal Jeff Henderson said it was an accident but offered an excuse saying Aylah’s T-shirt was long.
“We’ve never had this happen before,” he said. “Her shirt was long. It went almost to her knee, and she was not fully exposed or anything like that throughout the day,” Henderson said.
According to reports, last Friday, Aylah participated in a chalk party and got her clothes dirty and forgot to put her shorts back on, something typical of a 6-year-old. However, her teacher failed to check to see if Aylah was properly dressed with bottoms on.
Henderson said school police and the Baker County Sheriff’s office reviewed camera footage to ensure that nothing nefarious happened to Aylah.
“We care about their concerns and the safety of our students. We learned from this. It’s a big learning experience for everyone that this took place. It was never intentional – no way, shape, form, this would ever happen,” he said.
#Clique, is this the teacher’s fault? What would you do if your child came home half-buck naked from school?
