Jamie Foxx had an injurious encounter at a birthday dinner on Friday, Dec. 13, 2024, Onsite has learned. The actor was out to celebrate his birthday when a glass thrown from another table hit him. Foxx, who recently got out of a stroke, took to his Instagram afterward to testify about the incident and express gratitude to God and everyone who prayed for him. He also asserted that nothing could dim his light.

Jamie Foxx’s Birthday Dinner Turns Dangerous

Jamie Foxx was involved in an accident during a celebratory birthday dinner when he got hit by a glass. Another restaurant patron threw the object that struck the actor in the mouth. Police officers got to the restaurant around 10 pm after learning of a reported assault with a deadly weapon. However, when they arrived, they discovered that the incident at Mr. Chow, a high-end Chinese restaurant, was more of a physical altercation between the two parties.

There are no reports on what led to the quarrel and glass-throwing. However, a police spokesperson told CBS News that Jamie Foxx was celebrating his birthday with dinner at the Beverly Hills restaurant without dropping his name.

“Jamie Foxx was at his birthday dinner when someone from another table threw a glass that hit him in the mouth. He had to get stitches and is recovering,” they said. “The police were called, and the matter is now in law enforcement’s hands.”

It is not known if anyone was arrested.

Jamie Foxx Comments on His Birthday Dinner Incident

On Instagram, Foxx said about the incident:

“The devil is a lie. Can’t win here… thank you to everybody that pray and check on me… when your light is shining bright… they try to bring you darkness … but they don’t know that you’re built for it. The lights have been shining bright.”

The comedian also thanked everyone who had seen his new Netflix special, writing:

“Huge thank yous to everyone that have watched and been inspired by “What Had Happened Was”… number 1 on @netflix if you haven’t checked it out please go check it out it’s from my heart and my soul.”

The Django Unchained actor was recently in the news after he joked in his comedy special that he was done dating white women.

Fans React to Foxx’s Birthday Dinner Incident

After news of his birthday dinner gone awry broke out, fans expressed their fear about the Day Shift actor’s propensity for accidents, referring to his recent stroke.

“He just survived a stroke .. can’t catch a break,” a fan wrote.

A second fan commented:

A third Instagram user said:

“Buddy was just half dead a few months ago and now out here throwing hands 😩🤣.”

Many were also thankful that he was okay and supported him.

Some fans also joked that white women were responsible for the incident.

“Was it one of those white women that he be dating?” someone asked while another suggested they heard about Foxx’s promise in his Netflix special.

It’s good to know that Jamie Foxx is okay after the incident at his birthday dinner. Hopefully, he is not traumatized and will take time to rest and heal. As fans have suggested, he also needs to stay away from potentially dangerous situations.
