“a bit bossy”

at times when they work together. During a recent appearance at ‘Late Night with Seth Meyers,’ The 43-year-old singer talked about her relationship with the rapper.

“He’s a bit bossy when it comes to being Common,”

she said during the show. The couple has been going strong since making it official in 2022. The musical duo have both teamed up to work on her new album ‘The Gift of Love.’ Common has taken a leading role in the creation of this album and it seems his serious stance has made both parties proud.

“Common and Rashid are two different people musically, but he’s a musical genius, so it’s an honor to be able to work from him, work for him, work with him, and on his album and my album,”

she added.

According to Common, the album is totally different from Hudson’s traditional R&B and soul sound.

“When I played it to musician friends, they were like, ‘Who is that singing?’ I’m like, ‘That’s Jennifer!’ It doesn’t sound like things you’ve heard from her before,”

he said.

“I love that we were able to utilize her gifts in a new space. She brought it, man.”

Fans have expressed excited about the upcoming collaboration from these two artists, who have collectively earned 28 Grammy nominations! The album will include work from other well-known artists and producers, although the details remain under wraps for now. This project is their first big collaboration as a couple and adds to Hudson’s already remarkable discography of eight studio albums.
