Jess Hilarious made headlines this morning after her social media rant went viral. The comedian blasted her Breakfast Club co-hosts for not supporting her, although she didn’t call them by their names. She said she felt isolated and ignored after returning from maternity leave, and Loren LoRosa’s presence only aggravated those feelings. Hilarious then addressed her social media rant on this morning’s episode but ended in tears while explaining herself.
Jess Hilarious Berates Co-Hosts In Social Media Rant
Jess Hilarious recently bared her feelings in a social media rant. She took to Instagram to express her frustrations with The Breakfast Club co-hosts after feeling unsupported for a long time. During the Instagram Live session, Jess shared her reservations about how the show operated. She also spoke about the events that occurred after she went on maternity leave and returned. Particularly, she called out Charlagmane Tha God and DJ Envy, who she claimed didn’t support her when the internet attacked her.
The radio personality acknowledged that there was no good time to get pregnant, so she decided to do so “on purpose.” However, Loren LoRosa replaced her, causing fans to compare the duo and claim LoRosa as the “better replacement.” Jess Hilarious said in her social media rant that she got “no support” from her co-hosts during this period. “We supposed to be a team,” she stated. “But not one person comes to my defense at all. Ever.”
She also claimed to understand now why former co-host Angela Yee left the show. Jess also wondered how Yee stayed so long in an unsupportive environment. “I don’t know how she did it for 13 years,” she said, suggesting that many misunderstood Yee, who deserved more credit. “Angela Yee wasn’t crazy like people made her out to be. There’s a reason she wanted to leave,” Jess noted.
Jess Hilarious Claims Co-Host Intensified Conflict On The Show
During her social media rant, Jess Hilarious further revealed that Charlamagne tha God fed the conflict between her and LoRosa. She confessed that she initially disliked LoRosa and found the latter talkative, claiming she “talked over her.” However, the media personality revealed that Charlamagne tried to feed the conflict between the women. He encouraged her to intensify the tension by telling LoRosa to “shut up” to heighten the energy in the room.
Jess Hilarious Addresses Social Media Rant On Live Show
A day after ranting on social media, Jess Hilarious explained why she crashed out. The comedian told viewers and her co-hosts on Wednesday, March 19, that she felt overlooked. She also explained that she disliked LoRosa because the team didn’t properly inform her about LoRosa’s involvement in the show. LoRosa didn’t leave after Jess returned to the show and only talked during Jess’ segment. “She’s on only during my segment. If she was meant to be a fourth host, move her in another way,” Jess said.
She also complained that Charlagmane and the others didn’t attempt to “clean up the narrative that I’m a villain.” Jess added, “We’re supposed to be a team, but nobody defends me when I’m being attacked online. I’ve stayed quiet for a long time, but now I feel played.”
DJ Envy, however, said she acted “corny,” and he and Charlagmane asked her not to listen to naysayers. However, Jess revealed she was “worried about the perception and my reputation on the show.” At this point, she became upset and teared up. However, she and LoRosa were able to hash out their differences during the episode. They discussed against the backdrop of comedian Corey Holcomb, who publicly mocked Jess Hilarious, prompting her social media rant. Holcomb ridiculed Jess and applauded LoRosa. He also called Jess “Less Hilarious.”
Jess Hilarious has confirmed that she is not leaving The Breakfast Club, despite her social media rant, as many speculated. She also informed fans that she had not been fired. However, it remains to be seen whether opening up about her frustrations will improve the team dynamics.
