Jess Hilarious has found an ally amid the ongoing Breakfast Club drama. Jess’ friend, Kway, born Kwaylon Rogers, recently defended her on social media against the backlash she received. This week, the radio personality came under fire after voicing her frustrations with the show in a social media rant. Although many acknowledged her feelings, others thought Jess couldn’t handle being less preferred.

Kway Stands With Jess Hilarious Amid Breakfast Club Drama

Kway rose to Jess Hilarious’s defense two days after she crashed out about being isolated on The Breakfast Club. He empathized with his friend and said her feelings were valid. Kway also raised awareness about how the drama with The Breakfast Club affected Jess Hilarious’ health. He opined that the show set the stage and encouraged tension to drive views. “My opinion, Nobody is giving Jess any empathy with this situation,” he wrote on his Instagram Story with the handle blameitonkway.

“What happened with Jess coming back was messy. And even more so with giving Loren her segment which was done I feel to create tension which of course is working for views but at the expense of her mental health…” Kway added. He also pointed out how the criticism from viewers could affect Jess’ mental state. “It has to be hard reading comments everyday of people saying “Get Jess out, and keep Loren” just because it’s become the popular thing to say,” he noted.

Kway Says The Breakfast Club Needs Jess Hilarious

Kway further reacted to the Jess Hilarious drama with The Breakfast Club. He addressed some of the earlier comments from netizens asking for Loren LoRosa to permanently replace Jess and the more recent comments. He said Jess signed a contract which protects her, adding that she “isn’t going anywhere. The show needs Jess, because while Breakfastklub is iconic no one had been talking about it for a while because there are a ton of podcast out nowadays. But now we are here, because of Jess!” he said.

Kway acknowledged that Jess Hilarious could have taken her frustrations with The Breakfast Club off-air, thereby avoiding the drama. However, he pointed out that the station seemed to be gaslighting Jess. He warned the show’s producers that the media personality could flip soon if they didn’t address her concerns.

Kway Reassures Jess Hilarious

Meanwhile, Kway noted that the drama between Jess Hilarious and The Breakfast Club should not dim Loren’s light. He acknowledged the journalist’s talents but insisted that the show was becoming toxic. “The hate is becoming overwhelming even for me,” the 334-year-old skit maker said. “There’s only so much one person can take and we can clearly see that this is doing nothing but pin two talented black women against each other. It’s giving toxic work environment just a tad.”

Kway continued, “I love you @jesshilarious_official and you are doing amazing! Don’t let anyone dim your light. And no one can take anything from you except God, the same person who blessed you with the opportunity. Keep going!” he said, adding a red heart emoji. Additionally, Kway pointed out that his friend didn’t need the show to survive, nor did it build her brand. He said she makes enough money from touring and has plenty of supporters, so she can “pivot and not have any worries.”

Jess Hilarious’s lamentations about how she feels working at The Breakfast Club goes beyond mere drama. Thankfully, Kway has highlighted the impact of comments and ridicule on people’s mental state. Hopefully, both The Breakfast Club and netizens will take note of his assertions and improve.
