A 20-year-old American woman turned herself in after accidentally stabbing and killing an Eritrean man, 64, at the Kaiserslautern train station in Germany. Now the authorities are considering whether or not she’ll face punishment for her crimes.

The younger adult was reportedly minding her business while on an escalator. However, the 64-year-old disrupted the peace when he grabbed her bottom. This led to an argument between the pair. As the argument became tense, the American brought out a knife.

With this weapon, she threatened to stab her aggressor by making intentional movements. The man grabbed her arm while she continued to struggle, leading to an intense stab wound. Footage retrieved from the train station hinted that the woman reached for his heart, which led to his death.

According to the laws of the land, the young lady now faced 10 years in prison. She has been charged with causing bodily harm resulting in death. It is yet to become a murder or manslaughter charge as prosecutors say it was not an intentional action. They believe the victim of inappropriate conduct intended to injure the man not kill him.

According to a publication from Bild, a German media outlet, the prosecutor’s office refused to accept her reason. They do not believe she acted in self-defense during the Kaiserslautern train station stabbing incident. As for now, she awaits her fate, while walking free. Note that the woman willingly turned herself in to share her reason for stabbing him. Once the interrogation was completed, she was allowed to go home. This does not mean she is out of the woods yet.
