Kanye West has offered to step up after a video of Kodal Black, in which the latter acted strangely, went viral. West, also known as Ye, stated that Black needed immediate intervention and urged other rappers to assist him with his mission. Ye and Kodak Black previously collaborated on several songs, including Field Trip and Drunk. The musician also assured fans he was fine, considering he had been crashing out on X, formerly Twitter, since February 7.

Kanye West Doesn’t Want Help

Kanye West decided to stage an intervention for Kodak Black after a disturbing video of him eating chicken on the street made it to the internet. He posted a video, captioned:

“I’M COMING TO MIAMI RIGHT NOW IM GOING TO GO GET MY BROTHER NOW LETS PRAY FOR HIM.”

Meanwhile, Ye doesn’t want help for himself. In his introduction, Ye first told fans he was alright in light of his posting spree, which began a few days ago on X, in which he constantly posted hate, homophobic, and anti-semitic tweets.

“I wouldn’t want nobody to, like, do an intervention on me that’s why I want to put this video up cos y’all might think, ‘Man, Ye really going through it right now. Somebody need to go get him or to go take his Twitter and stuff like that,'” he said, adding, “I’m just telling you calmly that I am in a good space. I am really in a positive space, it’s cathartic.”

Ye noted that putting out his ideas in the open was freeing for him, and “it was worth it.” Therefore, he was fit to help after seeing the video of Kodak Black online.

Kanye West Wants To Help Kodak Black

Kanye West is also willing to do everything possible to help Kodak Black improve. In his video, he shared that Kodak Black wore a “DONDA” chain, referencing Ye’s album named after his late mother.

“He’s actually wearing this Donda chain and, it’s not just cause he’s wearing a chain but it’s like, how he’s sitting here wearing this chain unless something saying to go and get my brother,” Ye said, and revealed that he might be the “person that could make a difference” for Black.

Although the Yeezy founder first announced he would go to Miami, he uploaded a second video later to update fans. He disclosed that Black was in Atlanta, so he was headed there instead. West also pleaded with the rappers who knew Kodak Black, and whom he had formerly dissed, to help him.

“So anybody that’s already in Atlanta that knows him, I know I said f**k rappers and all that, but right now, I need y’all, man to like really go and do something,” he urged.

Video of Kodak Black Sparks Concerns

Fans grew concerned after a disturbing video of Kodak Black made it online on February 9. An X user, @scubaryan_, posted the clip, showing Black sitting in the middle of the street while cars and passersby went by. He had a takeout plate in his hands from which he ate chicken and licked his fingers loudly. Two unidentified men filmed him while two others sat on the floor with him. The video of Kodak Black quickly went viral, amassing over 15 million views in a few hours.

Fans commented on the clip with some worrying that his use of hard drugs was messing with his mental health. Many also called for his friends and baby mamas to help him, while a fan worried about him turning out like Delontae West. The recent video of Kodak Black’s strange behavior is not the first. The rapper stirred public reaction while appearing on streamer Kai Cenat’s livestream, where he ate food off the ground. He also seemed to be lost and incoherent during Cenat’s Subathon.
