Meanwhile, the next state that comes close in the number of victims is Montana at 17, followed by Nebraska with 12 cases. Others include Missouri,8, Utah,7, Wyoming,5, New Mexico,5, Michigan, 2. On the other hand, states like Wisconsin, Kansas, Iowa, Oregon, and Washington all have one case each. About 33 of all victims decided to pursue a lawsuit against McDonald’s following the E. coli outbreak.
One of the heartbreaking cases includes a 15-year-old diagnosed with hemolytic uremic syndrome. The teenager Kamberlyn Bowler from Colorado has been under doctor’s supervision. According to her, she felt symptoms of E.Coli after eating McDonald’s Quarter Pounders. Doctors claimed that her illness was triggered by the McDonald’s E.Coli infection.
On the other side, fast food outlets including McDonald’s and Taylor Farms have recalled the use of their supplies. Health officials maintain that Taylor Farm’s onions served in McDonald’s quarter pounders might be responsible. Meanwhile, McDonald’s beef patties have been exonerated by the Colorado Department of Agriculture. This has led other outlets like Burger Kings, and Pizza Hut to clamp down on circulating the Taylor Farm’s onions.
