Lil Reese’s baby mama, Kimani, has shared an insight into her tumultuous relationship with the Chicago rapper. She revealed that he was abusive to her and even pulled a gun on her once while she was pregnant with his daughter. At the time, Kimani grabbed a knife to protect herself because Lil Reese was being violent. However, she was stunned when he pointed a gun and almost shot her.
Lil Reese’s Baby Mama Once Armed Herself With A Knife
Lil Reese’s baby mama, Kimani, sat down with Taia Gabrielle on the Fly Girls Talk podcast last week. The conversation took place shortly after the rapper’s assault video on Kimani resurfaced online. During their interview, the Chicago native discussed the abuse she experienced during her relationship with Reese and the circumstances that led to the viral video on the internet. Kimani revealed that she was involved in an altercation that turned into a physical assault with the 32-year-old rapper that day.
CCTV captured the interaction between the duo and showed Lil Reese’s intimidatory behavior and threats toward his baby mama. Kimani said he was upset and tried to grab her phone. When she saw Reese turning more violent, she grabbed a knife to protect herself, hoping it would scare him. However, it had the opposite effect as he pulled his gun on her instead. She also said she was shocked because she didn’t think he would do that while she was pregnant.
Lil Reese’s Baby Mama Was Hurt By His Action
Lil Reese’s baby mama revealed she was talking with her mom on the phone while the situation unraveled. She also revealed that the gun he pulled on her was hers.
“But when he seen I had the knife, he was just kind of like ‘I got something for you,'” Kimani disclosed, explaining that the firearm Reese aimed at her was registered in her name.
She expressed her hurt and disappointment over the fact that the rapper didn’t care about her safety.
“That s**t really hurt me,” Kimani said.
“I ain’t gonna lie because I’m just like, ‘Why would you?’ It’s like I’m one of your ops. You’re upping the gun on me like I’m one of your ops…Now, let’s just say the gun would have accidentally went off,” She added.
Lil Reese’s baby mama also recounted a time he “slapped the f*** out of [her]” when she went to pick their daughter up. She was hesitant to go because she knew he would abuse her, and he did. Kimani also noted that the Distance rapper’s mother and two other women were present, but they didn’t intervene.
Lil Reese’s History of Violence
Lil Reese’s violent behavior toward his baby mama is not isolated and follows a trend of disturbing conduct. The Us rapper was arrested in September 2024 for aggravated assault on another ex-girlfriend in a nightclub. Lil Reese and the woman broke up weeks before the incident, but he became upset after she rebuffed his attempts to kiss her. Witnesses reported him punching her in the face and strangling her. The woman suffered severe injuries to her face and neck.
She also told the police she couldn’t breathe during the attack, and they got a warrant for Lil Reese’s arrest after seeing the woman’s injuries. In October 2024, the Show Us Some rapper was sentenced to five years in prison for assaulting a family member. Per HipHop DX, the incident happened in March 2022 and involved aggravated assault, according to the police report.
