Police in Daytona Beach Shores said they arrested two men for allegedly stealing from a business affected by Hurricane Milton, per WFTV9.

Austin Ryan, 36, was taken into custody on Thursday afternoon for stealing from Cyber Fuels on South Atlantic Avenue. The storm had broken the front window of the store, and Ryan used this as an opportunity to commit the theft.

Officers reported that Ryan was found on a different property with a bag filled with stolen items. The report stated that he had taken snacks, alcohol, and tobacco products.

Police also mentioned that Ryan was carrying a knife and had methamphetamine and drug-related items with him.

Earlier in the day, they arrested Timothy Work for stealing from the same place. These crimes occurred during a State of Emergency declared by Governor Ron DeSantis, which means the charges could be more serious.
