An Atlanta man was taken into custody for allegedly stealing several cars at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport, as reported by Fox 5 Atlanta.
On Monday, an officer was patrolling the Rental Car Center when he noticed a man acting suspiciously nearby. The officer responded and found the man, who was identified as 28-year-old Jaquavious Crenshaw.
He was caught on camera attempting to steal an Audi A6 but was stopped by a security barrier. Investigators believe Crenshaw is also responsible for stealing a Kia Forte and Sorento from the Rental Car Center the day before.
In the body cam video, the officer is seen showing Crenshaw a security image from the previous day that captured him at the Rental Car Center.
“Who’s that dude here?”
the officer asked.
“Uh, yeah, that’s me,”
Crenshaw admitted.
Crenshaw was taken to Fulton County Jail and charged with theft by taking (automobile), theft by taking (key fob), prowling, and entering an automobile. Investigators mentioned that he had been arrested twice before for car theft, including one incident at the same Rental Car Center in 2022.
