Man Arrested for Allegedly Chasing Girlfriend Into Restaurant and Fatally Stabbing Her, Police Say

Houston police have apprehended a man accused of fatally stabbing his girlfriend at a restaurant early Saturday morning, per Fox 26 Houston.

Officers responded to a call at a restaurant located in the 6900 block of Wilcrest Drive. When they arrived, they found a 50-year-old woman who was declared dead at the scene.

Santos Hernandez Cornejo, 53, has been charged with murder. Investigators report that an argument broke out between Hernandez Cornejo and his girlfriend in the parking lot, after which he allegedly chased her into the restaurant and stabbed her multiple times.

Although he fled the scene, Hernandez Cornejo later surrendered to the police and confessed to the stabbing. The woman’s identity has not yet been disclosed.
