Following days of pursuit, police have apprehended Justin Golden, the man caught on camera killing a child. However, they are yet to confirm if he is the parent of the deceased.

According to People, around 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, a fatal incident involving an 8-month-old child and a 20-year-old occurred. The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office responded to the hit-and-run case only to discover that the incident had been pre-planned.

The police confirmed that Golden, 20, the driver, had a woman seated on the passenger’s side when he brought out an 8-month-old. Before then, the pair had engaged in a heated argument which led Golden to make the brash decision of holding the toddler.

After getting out of the car, he placed the child in front and speedily drove past it. Sadly, the accident caused injury to the toddler who was later transported to a hospital. Unfortunately, soon after the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department attended to the child, it was declared dead.

Following the incident, the Traffic Homicide Unit interviewed witnesses. More recently, they announced that the driver had been arrested. Golden is now in Duval County Jail where he faces vehicular homicide and aggravated manslaughter.

So far, there has been no bond set for the suspect. Meanwhile, the authorities haven’t ascertained whether the child belonged to any of the adults. According to JSO inmate records, Justin Golden’s next court date is on Feb. 18 at 9 a.m.
