Lafayett Lee, 38, was apprehended by Broward County authorities on Tuesday and faces one charge of transmitting harmful information to minors, along with two counts of sexual cyber-harassment, according to ABC affiliate WPLG.

According to the probable cause affidavit, Lee and the victim had been in a relationship for three and a half years, which ended on December 20. Just three days later, after Lee had picked up some of his belongings from her house, the woman’s son informed her that he had received explicit images. Upon reviewing the pictures, the woman recognized them as ones she had previously shared privately with her former boyfriend.

Caught in the Act

The documents stated that her daughter also mentioned receiving similar images just as another daughter’s phone began “going off.” A 6-year-old girl was playing with that phone, but the family quickly took it away from her before she saw the inappropriate content. In total, the children received five photos and one video of the victim, including explicit content of her engaging in sexual acts.

The victim informed the police that Lee was the only person who had received those images, as stated in the documents. She also mentioned that earlier messages from him had come from the same phone number that sent the explicit images and video to her children. Investigators arranged for a recorded line for the victim to confront Lee. On that call, the victim allegedly told Lee, “That was low as f–k how you sent all them nude videos and s–t to my kids.” Police wrote in their report that he responded, “That was low as f–k what you did.”

Lee is currently detained in the Broward County Jail with a bond set at $40,000, according to Law & Crime.
