A California man, Saul C. Nava, was found guilty of murdering his girlfriend on Christmas Eve. Officials sadly discovered Alisen Takacs-Escobar dead in the couple’s apartment, with signs of torture and tattoos on her body with
“degrading words,”
per Fox News.
Nava was convicted on nine felony charges, including first-degree murder, torture, and kidnapping. After he called 911 for medical aid, cops discovered his girlfriend dead in their Thousand Oaks apartment, with injuries all over her body.
According to the district attorney’s office,
“She suffered from extensive bruising, the top of her head had a large laceration, and degrading words were newly tattooed on the center of her chest.”
The man was apprehended at the home.
During the investigation, police found a tattoo kit, baseball bats, a hammer, and a screwdriver. These tools were used by Nava to beat and torture Takacs-Escobar for days. Videos on his phone showed him taunting her just hours before her demise.
Authorities discovered that Nava had a history of tormenting his girlfriends. One former girlfriend reported that he restricted her to a closet and physically assaulted her repeatedly during their relationship.
