Hailea Soares, a mom of two kids, was not expecting to be flung away due to road rage as she drove on Attleboro. The 31-year-old recalled to WHDH-TV News that she mistakenly slammed into a reckless driver ahead.
“He kept slamming on his brakes and then when we got to the intersection, he hit a light and he was in front of me,” Soares told the outlet. “As soon as we went through, we didn’t even make it across and he slammed on the brakes, so I hit him.”
Per Fox News, the Attleboro Police Department confirmed that the suspect, Gladior Kwesiah, angrily retaliated by dragging the woman out of her vehicle. At first, Soares tried to get evidence of her damaged car, but the attacker wasn’t having it. He grabbed her phone and slammed her to the ground.
Surveillance cameras captured the moment, thereby giving substantial evidence to Soares’s claims. In her recollection of the moment, the scared mom couldn’t believe she was in the air like that. She sustained serious injuries including a head injury, an injured eye socket, a broken knee, and a broken foot were attended to at the hospital.
As for the attacker, the police apprehended him in no time. He is currently in custody with a bail set at $25,000. Kwesiah has also been charged with assault by battery utilizing a dangerous weapon that caused serious injury. He was also charged with driving without a license and malicious destruction of property.
