In a recent interview, the songwriter engaged the interviewer regarding her resolve, post-divorce. She also talked about finding a new love, living her best life, and plans to take fans on a tour. Indeed, the R&B singer is currently at a happy point in her life.

Mary J. Blige said “I do” to Kendu Isaacs in 2003. But after about thirteen years of marital bliss, the singer made a shocking announcement. She filed for divorce citing irreconcilable differences. On top of that, she claimed that Isaacs had been unfaithful and had made reckless financial decisions. But it was not an easy period as the pair were caught up in a bitter divorce battle. After they split in 2016, it took about two years to finally divorce. They also battled out a spousal support case and she was ordered to pay about $30k to her ex-partner temporarily.
