A restaurant manager has been charged with fraud for allegedly using a customer’s credit card, according to police per Fox 5 Washington DC.
The individual involved, 30-year-old Brooke Chamber, worked at Silo Falls Restaurant in Brookeville. She is said to have made multiple unauthorized purchases after a customer accidentally left their credit card behind. Authorities stated that the victim dined at Silo Falls Restaurant in July 2024 and later received notifications from their bank regarding several fraudulent transactions.
According to court documents, Chamber used the customer’s credit card to pay her now ex-boyfriend’s WSSC bills while serving as a manager at the restaurant. The victim reported two unauthorized charges on his account, totaling $751.69 and $251.69. Investigations revealed that these purchases were made by Chambers.
She now faces charges related to theft and credit card fraud.
