Megan Thee Stallion’s legal team wants to enlist Tory Lanez’s help to get her justice. The musician has been involved in a legal battle against blogger and YouTuber Milagro Gramz, born Milagro Cooper. Megan accused Cooper of cyberbullying and defamation and wants Lanez, born Daystar Peterson, to help her prove he enlisted her for the hatchet job. Meanwhile, lawyers for both Tory Lanez and Milagro Gramz have accepted Megan’s demands.

Megan Thee Stallion’s Lawyers Want To Question Tory Lanez

A judge has accepted Megan Thee Stallion’s legal team’s request to depose Tory Lanez in her case against Milagro “Gramz” Cooper. In documents obtained by Onsite, Megan’s team filed the motion signed on February 24 to question Lanez under oath. The suit seeks to establish that Lanez paid Cooper to defame, stalk, and bully Megan online. The rapper’s legal team intends to do a remote deposition from prison. According to Meghann Cuniff, Peterson and Cooper’s lawyers consented to Megan’s demands.

“New today: Megan Thee Stallion’s lawyers want to question Tory Lanez under oath in prison as part of their defamation and cyberstalking lawsuit against Milagro Cooper, who they say is working with Lanez,” Cuniff posted online.

She added:

“Counsel for Ms. Cooper and Mr. Peterson do not oppose this request.”

Per Daily Mail, Megan can attend Tory Lanez’s questioning if she wishes. However, a nonprofit law firm representing Lanez and Cooper claimed the former won’t speak to Megan’s team.

“If you know Tory Lanez how I do, good luck trying to get him to ‘testify’ to anything, it’s just not what he does,” he noted in a statement, adding that Lanez “definitely did not agree to testify now.”

Megan Thee Stallion Accuses Tory Lanez Of Paying To Tarnish Her Name

In her suit, Megan accused Cooper of being a “paid surrogate” for Tory Lanez. While testifying to get a restraining order against Lanez just recently, she claimed that the incarcerated Canadian singer led a “campaign of harassment” against her even though he was in prison. Tory Lanez is serving a 10-year sentence for shooting Megan Thee Stallion in July 2020 and has spent a year and a half. Meanwhile, Megan is certain Lanez and Cooper worked together to attack her.

Cooper defended Lanez and shared updates during his trial, a fact that made Megan accuse her of being paid to spread “vicious and hateful rumors” on Lanez’s behalf. The rapper told DailyMail:

“It’s time to hold bloggers accountable for years of harassment, cyberbullying, and the publication of misinformation about my personal and professional life… It’s unacceptable behavior and these individuals need to understand there will be repercussions for recklessly posting lies and defamatory falsehoods.”

Tory Lanez Appealing Conviction In Megan Thee Stallion Case

Tory Lanez is appealing his conviction, so it is unclear if he will testify at the trial or invoke his Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination. He also refused to testify and defend himself during his December 2022 trials. Whatever action he takes will surely impact the outcome of Megan’s case against Cooper. Lanez was convicted of three counts of first-degree assault with a firearm, discharge of a firearm with gross negligence, and having a concealed handgun in a vehicle in 2022.

According to Megan, Cooper connived with Tory Lanez to seek revenge for getting him thrown into jail. In her lawsuit against the YouTuber, she claimed the blogger shared a “deepfake pornographic video” depicting her. The lawsuit also accused Cooper of spreading false statements “to bully, harass and punish Ms. Pete for [Lanez’s] conviction and to tarnish her reputation, causing emotional distress.” Cooper acknowledged the lawsuit on X and confirmed that the rapper’s attorney was suing her.

Meanwhile, Megan Thee Stallion is having a hard time getting public sentiment to favor her in her legal battle against Milagro Cooper and Tory Lanez. She will probably have a harder time if Lanez provides an unfavorable testimony. It remains to be seen what the outcome of the trial will be.
