Sadly, a boy, 3, was discovered dead in a Westchester river after leaving home with the family dog. His uncle, 54, and grandfather, 85, searched for him and reported him missing on Thursday at 2:18 p.m. He was found about 20 minutes later in the river, per the New York Post.
Permaredicts declared him dead at the scene. Officials think the boy left home with the family dog, walked two blocks, “fell into the water, and drowned.” He was likely dragged downstream to where he was located.
Officials are investigating, and there are no updates about the dog.
