A Mississippi police officer, James Jackson, has been arrested following a disturbing incident where he was discovered unconscious in his patrol car, holding a meth pipe, WLBT reports.

The alarming discovery took place on October 5, 2024, in Yazoo City, Mississippi. Local authorities, after noticing Jackson’s patrol car parked for an extended period, approached the vehicle only to find him passed out behind the wheel.

In his hand, officers found a methamphetamine pipe, and a search of the vehicle uncovered additional drugs, including marijuana in the glove compartment.
