Momma Dee recently discussed Kandi Burruss’ Old Lady Gang restaurant. She gave her two cents about the issue and admitted that Tamar Braxton was right when she claimed Burruss’s restaurant didn’t serve good food. Braxton had earlier called out her co-star’s restaurant for its poor service. However, the criticism was lost on Buruss, who noted that the former’s opinion was made out of ill feelings owing to their bad blood.
Momma Dee Supports Tamar Braxton’s Comments
Momma Dee recently gave her candid opinion on Kandi Burruss’ Old Lady Gang restaurant. The 61-year-old singer talked about catering for family when she briefly mentioned what she thought of the Big Brother alum’s restaurant food.
“I’m not going to be like Tamar, that took Kandi out and said Kandi food was bad at Old Lady Gang,” Momma Dee said before admitting, “I don’t know what’s going on with that… Tamar wasn’t lying.”
Meanwhile, Momma Dee is not the only person who has agreed with Tamar Braxton’s censure of Kandi Burruss’s Old Lady Gang restaurant. Food critic and reviewer Keith Lee denounced the restaurant’s policy in 2023 after they refused his request to place a to-go order. Netizens also called out Old Lady Gang and Burruss’s other restaurant, Blaze Steak and Seafood. Some claimed the restaurant didn’t season the food well enough.
Tamar Braxton Accuses Her Co-Star of Denying Accountability
Momma Dee’s comment is coming shortly after Tamar Braxton’s old clip criticizing Kandi Burruss’s Old Lady Gang restaurant service resurfaced. In the clip, Braxton wondered why more people were not being honest with their opinions about the restaurant’s poor quality.
“Nobody has yet to say how nasty Old Lady Gang is,” she said during her livestream.
The songwriter also disapproved of the quality at Burruss’ other restaurant. Tamar Braxton further shared her dissatisfaction with Kandi Burruss for not taking accountability and fixing her Old Lady Gang and Blaze restaurants. She said:
“If your food come out cold, you gotta pay for it anyway. And if your food is wrong, you gotta pay for it anyway.”
Tamar Braxton And Kandi Burruss’ Longtime Feud
Tamar Braxton and Kandi Burruss’ feud started long before the songwriter commented on the latter’s Old Lady Gang restaurant. They have had several public fallingouts over the years, with Burruss even accusing Braxton of implying she wears fake designer clothes, a claim Braxton has denied. The relationship went sour after the duo took a tour in 2018.
“We went on tour this time last year together, and had a really big, successful tour,” Braxton said, according to BET.
She revealed that they went with “Xscape, and myself, and another singer, and like, she ain’t never really liked me like that, you know what I’m sayin’?” The actress also claimed Burruss never liked her and disdained her. However, the latter told a different story, claiming they began fighting after Braxton invited people who had spoken negatively about her on tour. The restaurant owner added that the singer unfollowed her after she appeared on the talk show The Real.
Tamar Braxton and her Celebrity Big Brother co-alum have attempted to fix their relationship in the past, but it hasn’t worked out. With Momma Dee’s recent statement calling back Braxton’s comments about Kandi Burruss’s Old Lady Gang restaurant, it doesn’t appear the two will bury the hatchet soon.
