Nebraska couple, Daniel and Jocelyn Medrano, have been in the Airbnb business for more than a year. However, the damage they witnessed this year was mind-blowing. NBC’s affiliate WOWT reported that they often give up their home during the holidays, and this time, they had bargained with a male guest who was late to arrive.

The visitor renting the property had spotted the couple living in Omaha via an Airbnb platform. Ultimately, they reached an agreement and relinquished their privacy for eleven days. At first, it did not seem much of a bother as the bargain earned the couple a nice time vacationing in Florida. However, things soon turned sour.

Over the next few days, they monitored their home with surveillance cameras outside. During their time away, Jocelyn noticed that the guest had other visitors— he had managed to bring in more men. The duo quickly notified their guests, while emphasising that it was against the Airbnb contract.

Still, this did not stop. Sources confirmed that the visitor allowed men into the home with pots, fans, and whitish substance trapped in bags. Soon, these men reportedly began to cook meth inside the home including the kitchen, the couple’s room, and their daughter’s room.

Their suspicious movement and activities attracted the neighbors who in turn influenced the couple to alert police. Without wasting time, the Omaha police department had the group of men on their radar.

They monitored the suspects closely and eventually arrested them with meth. Meanwhile, Daniel and Jocelyn incurred a $26,000 cost due to the damage caused in their home. They have since left the house, and are now living with friends.
