A 13-year-old boy from Westchester County died after being catapulted from his e-bike off a five-story parking garage while riding with friends. The incident occurred on Sunday evening at the Harrison Metro-North station, per the NY Post

The boy’s body was discovered on the ground below the garage, and he was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital. There were no other injuries reported, and foul play is not suspected. However, authorities are still investigating the incident.

“The MTA will review the results of the investigation when they are available,”

MTA spokesperson Aaron Donovan wrote. According to sources, it is believed that the children were performing stunts on the e-bikes on the top floor of the parking garage. The middle schooler’s bike reportedly hit a wall and flipped, causing him to be thrown off the roof.

Mark was a student at Louis M. Klein Middle School in a suburban town. He participated in both wrestling and football as a student-athlete.

“He will be missed for the gentle soul and dedicated friend he was to all who he came in contact with in just a short time here,”

wrote Frank Barchella, who organized an online fundraiser for the boy’s grieving family.

The GoFundMe page has received over $119,000 in donations.

“Our goal is to assist his family to put Mark to rest and whatever expenses they will encounter in their time of need.”

#Clique, let’s continue to keep Mark’s family in our thoughts and prayers.
