Nina Thomas, the estranged wife of former NFL star Earl Thomas, has been hit with multiple criminal charges, including conspiracy to commit wire fraud, wire fraud, money laundering, and aggravated identity theft.

Prosecutors allege that she defrauded the ex-#Seattle Seahawks safety out of over $2.7 million in an elaborate scheme that began shortly after their 2020 separation and her divorce filing, TMZ reports.

According to court documents, Nina and an unnamed co-conspirator allegedly diverted funds and property from Earl into accounts they controlled, using some of the stolen money for personal expenses like breast implants and a luxury Hermes Birkin handbag.

The scheme is said to have started in September 2021 and was exposed through financial audits. An arrest warrant for Nina was issued on December 13, 2024, and she was taken into custody three days later but later released.

The couple, who married in 2016 in a high-profile wedding attended by stars like Russell Wilson and Ciara, had a turbulent relationship. In 2020, Nina was arrested for allegedly holding a gun to Earl’s head after discovering him cheating. Since their separation, Earl has filed legal claims accusing her of financial misconduct.

While Nina, now working as a real estate agent, has been active on social media, she has not publicly addressed the charges.

Thomas has yet to comment on the case publicly as the legal proceedings unfold.
