Prosecutors revealed that Remon Gibson, a 43-year-old drug dealer from Bellport, was apprehended after law enforcement officials discovered 33 pounds of illegal drugs in his residence, including a dangerous amount of fentanyl. This amount of fentanyl is enough to potentially kill everyone on Long Island. The drugs were found on Sept. 25, with a significant amount left on a nightstand in a room next to where two kids slept, per the New York Post

Officials found seven kilograms of fentanyl and over eight kilograms of cocaine at the home, with some cocaine hidden in a trap behind a shed. Some drug bricks were marked

“COVID-19.”

“The amount of deadly narcotics seized in this operation is staggering ..There was enough Fentanyl here to kill every man, woman, and child on Long Island,”

said District Attorney Raymond Tierney.

During a search of Gibson’s home, investigators found $80,000 in cash, half a kilogram of zylazine, drug paraphernalia, and more. He pleaded not guilty to several charges.

Suffolk County Supreme Court Justice Richard Ambro set the 43-year-old’s bail at $200,000 cash, $800,000 bond, or a $2 million partially secured bond. He has since posted bail, officials reported.
