30-year-old Brianna J. Rivers was apprehended by the NYPD for assaulting pro-life activist Savannah Craven Antao during a viral street interview about abortion. She faces one count of second-degree assault for the attack, which was captured on camera. Craven Antao celebrated the news on Instagram, expressing gratitude for the arrest, writing, “Just got word from detectives Brianna J Rivers was arrested! God is good!”

The alleged attacker was apprehended Thursday morning for an assault during a filmed interview in Harlem. 23-year-old Antao asked Rivers about abortion, leading to a back and forth between the two.

Rivers told Craven Antao during the on-camera interview, “You don’t understand the magnitude of having a child.”

“I’m not the one who admitted they would be OK with killing babies in foster care and killing children that have been abused,” Craven Antao said replying to Rivers as she referred back to a statement Rivers made in the beginning of the interview.

“That’s not the point. What I’m saying is….,” Rivers said before attacking the interviewer.

Craven Antao had two cuts that bled heavily on her face and chest, needing several stitches. Rivers later claimed on social media that she was provoked into attacking the activist.

Rivers created a GoFundMe page to raise money for a defense attorney, so far she’s raised over $8,000. Court records indicate she was scheduled for arraignment Thursday afternoon.
