A manhunt is underway following a horrific incident in Times Square, New York, where a man was set on fire early this morning. The New York Police Department (NYPD) is urgently searching for a suspect, per ABC 7 News.
Officers responded to a 911 call at 3:55 a.m. after reports of a person on fire at the intersection of 41st Street and 7th Avenue. When police arrived at the scene, a 49-year-old man told them that a male suspect approached him. The suspect threw a liquid on him and then set him on fire. The victim suffered burns to his face and arms. He was quickly taken to a nearby hospital and is currently in stable condition.
Authorities have reported that the suspect was wearing blue clothing. However, no other details about the suspect are available at this time. The NYPD is continuing its investigation and are working to identify the perpetrator.
