Officials Searching For Man Who Escaped From Correctional Officers At Seattle Airport

Washington State Department of Corrections

A prisoner escaped from corrections officers at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport and is still on the run as of Wednesday. This is the second escape at the airport since May. 20-year-old John Nino who was serving time for burglary, was with two officers on the airport garage’s fourth floor when he suddenly ran towards the light rail train system on Tuesday morning, according to Port of Seattle officials, reports the New York Post.

Nino was being moved from a prison in New Mexico to community supervision in Washington when he made his escape. The 20-year-old crossed a pedestrian bridge and ran onto a major highway, per MyNorthwest.com. Nino managed to get out of his wrist restraints and was later seen on surveillance cameras as he fled.

Officials are urging the public to report any sightings of John Nino.
