A family is grieving the loss of their 3-year-old daughter, Kingsley Renee Wright, who was tragically mauled to death by two family dogs on December 27, 2024.

The incident occurred in the Roselawn neighborhood of #Cincinnati, just two days after Christmas, WXIX reports.

According to the Hamilton County Coroner’s Office, Kingsley was found unresponsive in her father’s home. Her father, who discovered her lifeless body, called 911, reporting that the dogs were “in a cage” at the time of the incident.

Cincinnati Police officers responded to the scene and, due to the severity of Kingsley’s injuries, were advised to turn off their body cameras.

In the aftermath, Cincinnati Animal CARE removed three dogs from the residence. The animals are currently being held for a mandatory 10-day quarantine period, as required by law.

Kingsley’s mother, Gina Smith, expressed her devastation, stating, “I would have not allowed my baby around vicious dogs. Why would I do that?” She described her daughter as a “happy girl with a beautiful laugh and smile,” who “loved to sing and dance for her family, and always saw the positive and bright side of everything.”

A GoFundMe page has been established to support the family during this difficult time.

The tragic incident has raised concerns about dog safety and the responsibilities of pet ownership. Authorities are continuing their investigation to determine the circumstances leading to this devastating event.

Prayers go out to the family.
