A shocking incident unfolded at a MOD Pizza in Norfolk, Virginia, when Catherine Natasha Harper, 45, became enraged over a “botched” pizza order and engaged in a heated argument with an employee.

Police allege that Harper then incited her husband, Corey Trelain Harper, 47, to stab the 24-year-old worker multiple times, causing serious injuries, Law & Crime reports.

The victim, who was disemboweled during the attack, was rushed to the hospital, but his injuries are not life-threatening. The couple has been charged with malicious wounding and brandishing a firearm, and both are being held without bond.

According to Norfolk police, the altercation occurred on Sunday afternoon at the MOD Pizza location on Premium Outlets Boulevard. Authorities responded to the scene after reports of the stabbing and found the worker in critical condition.

“We were dismayed to learn about an argument inside our Norfolk-area restaurant involving one of our employees and two guests. The altercation resulted in one of our MOD squad members being hospitalized,” a spokesperson for the company stated.

The Harpers are currently in custody, awaiting further legal proceedings.
