30-year-old Channel Yonko is being held up by the police after she allegedly killed her daughter, Hannah, intentionally. The motive of the crime remains unknown, but the authorities have pieced together evidence of her involvement.

Channel Yonko Faces Charges After Toddler’s Fatal Fall from Hotel Balcony

According to People, Galveston Police reacted to 911 calls from the BeachFront Palm hotel on Wednesday morning. The complaints concerned an unconscious bleeding child on the pavement. Once the authorities showed up, they rushed the female child to UTMB Galveston. But unfortunately, she was pronounced dead at 10:30 am.

The girl now identified as Hannah Yonko was allegedly the victim of murder by her mom, Channel. According to the medical staff, the deceased had suffered three puncture wounds.

This gruesome death led the police to launch an intense investigation involving watching surveillance footage. The police noted that Hannah was thrown from the third floor. Upon landing, she rolled on the grass before settling on the concrete floor.

Authorities later retrieved personal items in a trash bin belonging to Hannah and Channel. They found a skinning knife, baby toys, and a bag with the mother’s room key. Investigators believe that it was an intentional act as Mercedes Yonko, Hannah’s aunt, recounted a disturbing story. She claimed that they had all lodged in the hotel and that before the incident they had intended to check out. However that morning, she rushed out to see her fiance in a different hotel.

While at the hotel, she saw Channel Yonko with a stroller and Mercedes believed Hannah was inside. When she didn’t see the child, the concerned aunt attempted to head back to their hotel but was dissuaded. Following the culprit’s arrest, she has been mute, while asking for a lawyer in Galveston County Jail with no bond.
