An unknown person left a jug with liquid and a note saying

“chlorine gas is a problem”

outside an NYPD precinct in Manhattan, per sources. The jug was dropped off at the 6th Precinct on West 10th Street near Hudson Street in the West Village around 4 p.m. Thursday, the New York Post reports.

Sources say that the note read,

“I seriously hope you didn’t open that jar because chlorine gas is a bitch.”

The note also warned that the next jar or bag would be a bomb heading to West Virginia International Yeager Airport, sources said. The unknown suspect, who wore

“a black jacket, hoodie, sunglasses, face covering, and black sneakers,”

got away. The NYPD Bomb Squad tested the substance and luckily, discovered it to be harmless, sources confirmed.

The NYPD’s Intelligence and Counterterrorism Bureau and the city’s Department of Environmental Protection were informed.
