Chesterfield County Sheriff Office disclosed that four men fashioned a real-life prison break on Tuesday. The inmates chose to execute their escape from a South Carolina prison in the early hours. While they are yet to be found, authorities claimed that they had help getting out. However, it’s unclear if the help was internal or external. The escapees have been identified as Emanuel Robson Planco, Anton Conway Bennett, Kyonne Marquise McLeod, and De’Shawn Malik Fox.
BREAKING: Manhunt Underway For 4 Escaped Inmates in South Carolina!
Sources confirmed that these men worked together and were transported as soon as they got out. As the investigation and manhunt continue, the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) among others are now involved. Fox News confirmed that they will be helping the Chesterfield County Sheriff with the search. Reportedly, the inmates were imprisoned in an overflow area because of the influx of prisoners.
During the escape, they struck down a steel door before proceeding to jump a barbed wire fence. Sheriff Cambo Streater asserts that the men must have been quick to blend in with society as they had already changed their clothes. This makes it more difficult to identify the inmates as escapees even if they are still in South Carolina.
But on Thursday, The State reported that 23-year-old Planco had been found. According to the Richmond County Sheriff’s Department, the cops arrested him after a hot car chase on Lone Drive. A statement from the Sheriff’s office confirmed that no further details will be shared for now. But in the meantime, there is a solid investigation ongoing. The authorities will appreciate any useful information from the public.
