44-year-old Maxim Lyutyi is famously known as the “Raw Food Fanatic.” He was proud of his obsession with natural food and wanted his child to be like him. As a result, Lyutyi placed his late son, Kosmos, on a sun diet.
This is known as prana-eating, where people feed on nothing but the sun. However, baby Kosmos was born prematurely and was too young for the experiment. Lyutyi believed he could set an example with his son for his followers. But it only led to the child contracting pneumonia and being emancipated.
Reportedly, the accused seized the child from his mother to immerse him in cold water. According to sources, this was an experiment to make the child hardened. This only caused health problems including exhaustion and breathing issues. Consequently, the child died as he lacked proper health care.
Following his arrest, Maxim Lyutyi admitted his guilt. But first, the content creator feigned ignorance about the child’s premature status at birth. He then blamed the mother, Oxana Mironova, 34, adding that the child would have received treatment irrespective of her beliefs. Additionally, the 44-year-old claimed that Mironova had iron deficiency which contributed to the child’s death.
However, following a thorough investigation, it was confirmed that Maxim Lyutyi was solely responsible. A source revealed that he banned the mother from breastfeeding the infant. Since his arrest in April, he was initially sentenced to eight years in a high-security penal colony. The court also ordered him to pay a £860 fine. However, another court ruled that Lyutyi should serve a ten-year sentence instead of eight.
