Police are investigating the theft of a $180,000 custom Range Rover made for NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal after it was stolen in Georgia earlier this month, per ABC News. Authorities are still trying to track down the missing luxury SUV.
The Lumpkin County Sheriff’s Office in northeast Georgia said they believe the vehicle was taken from a local fabrication shop and later moved to the metro Atlanta area. The SUV had been scheduled to ship to Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where O’Neal planned to use it during a Louisiana State University game. However, it never made it to its destination, CBS News Atlanta reported.
Investigators say they have identified several possible suspects and have obtained multiple search warrants as the investigation continues.
A spokesperson for Effortless Motors, a California-based company that has customized vehicles for O’Neal since 2023, told CBS News Atlanta that the car was in the care of FirstLine Trucking LLC when the company’s system was allegedly hacked. The vehicle was specially designed to fit O’Neal’s 7-foot-1 frame and included other custom upgrades.
Effortless Motors is offering a $10,000 reward for any information that helps locate the stolen SUV, according to multiple reports.
