Shocking Video Shows White Man Pointing Gun at Black Woman’s Temple During Gas Pump Dispute In Indianapolis

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department

A confrontation at a northeast #Indianapolis gas station escalated into a violent encounter, with a white man pointing a gun at a Black woman’s head following a dispute over a gas pump.

The altercation began when Tashauna Gooch, 21, was parked at a non-functional gas pump. Mark Douglas White, 59, driving a 2015 Ram pickup with a flatbed trailer, pulled up behind her and honked multiple times. Gooch moved her 2017 Chevrolet Impala and exited her vehicle, leading to a verbal exchange, Indystar reports. Gooch reported that White used racial slurs and threatened her during the confrontation.

But what followed is even more disturbing.

Bystander video footage shows White approaching Gooch, pointing a handgun at her temple on her head, and physically assaulting her. Witnesses can be heard urging White to lower his weapon and advising Gooch to leave the scene. Gooch desperately requested that someone call the police.

The incident occurred around 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday.

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department officers arrived promptly, detaining both individuals. White was arrested on preliminary charges including intimidation with a deadly weapon, battery with a deadly weapon, strangulation, criminal recklessness, and battery resulting in injury. He remains in custody, with his initial court appearance scheduled for Friday.

#Clique, this is so disturbing and a sign of the times.
