On April 9, 2025, Madison Police arrested 22-year-old Skyler Klassen after allegedly discovering child sex abuse material on his phone, according to a criminal complaint reported by PEOPLE.
Klassen, who had an active Nevada warrant for similar charges, allegedly confessed to sexually assaulting a 2-month-old girl, the daughter of 21-year-old Madison Bishop, his partner.
The complaint claims police found explicit photos and a video of the infant on Klassen’s phone, with the alleged assault occurring on April 7.
Further investigation revealed disturbing text messages between Skyler Klassen and Madison Bishop, suggesting they planned to abuse the child before her birth. The duo continued discussing sexual acts post-birth. The couple also shared illicit material from other sources, per the complaint.
The victim’s mother, Bishop, was arrested on April 15, facing charges of first-degree child sexual assault and failure to protect a child. Klassen faces multiple counts, including sexual exploitation of a child, possession of child sex abuse material, first-degree sexual assault, and incest.
Neither has entered pleas, and their attorney declined to comment, per PEOPLE. The Dane County District Attorney’s Office stated that DA Ozanne cannot comment due to the ongoing investigation.
