Like his music career, marriage for Snoop Dogg is a big win. The seasoned rapper turned “The Voice” coach has come forward to share his story. Without holding back, Snoop, real name—Calvin Broadus, praised his woman, Shante Broadus, for holding it down all these years. Also, he did not forget to state how their willingness to commit created a successful family.
Snoop Dogg’s Early Years In Marriage
Back in the 80s Snoop Dogg and Shante were students of the Polytechnic High School in Long Beach. They connected as teenagers and have since been inseparable. As young lovers with Snoop as a budding artist, they decided to share their vows. So in 1997, the pair made their union official before adding their third child, Cori to the mix. Altogether they share two sons, Corde, and Cordell, and a daughter, Cori.
But in 1998, before their daughter’s birth, Snoop welcomed a love child with Laurie Helmond. Julian now 30 years old also has a smooth relationship with his dad. Despite being in love, Snoop acted in ways that jeopardised his romance. At the time, the rapper was easing into the life of fame and fortune. This made him to easily give into temptations. But somehow the duo managed to fight through it.
In 2004, they shocked the world when Snoop filed for divorce citing irreconcilable differences and this led to a separation.
