For the last few years, Jordan Peele has been giving us nightmares with his movies “Get Out” and “Us“. On June 12th, he is giving us a sequel to the 1992 horror classic “Candyman.”
The Candyman is back terrorizing Chicago’s Cabrini Green neighborhood. All thanks to a visual artist Anthony McCoy (Yahya Abdul-Mateen II) who learns about the deadly urban legend. When the artist tells his fans to look in the mirror and say Candyman five times, it is all the ghostly murderer needed to come back to life and kill.
Candyman has been a horror fan favorite for over 25 years, so how are people reacting to the new trailer that includes a really dark version of “Say My Name” by Destiny’s Child. They are not saying, “Candyman. Candyman. Candyman. Candyman.” I am not saying it five times either. Have you seen the movies and the trailer?

"Urban legend is, if you say his name 5 times looking in the mirror, he appears in the reflection and kills you"

Might be the first horror movie I see just to root for killer. Candyman in the afterlife minding his business, you get to mumbling his name in a mirror, he kill you & now I’m supposed to mad at HIM?! ??? Y’all deserve to die. #TeamCandy @CandymanMoviehttps://t.co/tPb2WHU1G0
