Matt Vereen, 28, a Fox 57 sports reporter in South Carolina was caught with explicit kiddie porn on his Apple laptop.
On Wednesday, Vereen was arrested and charged with sexual exploitation of a minor and ultimately suspended from his WACH Fox 57 sports anchor job, WIS10 reports. He was detained at the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.
According to the charges, Vereen was in constant communication with an underage girl between the ages of 11 and 13 and was in possession of sexual, disturbing images of the child. He also reportedly bought a one-minute and 32-second video of the girl.
Vereen was charged with two counts in the second degree and another count in the third degree in relation to the sexual exploitation of a minor, according to the outlet.
The Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force along with the South Carolina Attorney General’s Office conducted the investigation along with the Columbia Police Department and Homeland Security Investigations.
