At least four people died and ten were injured on Friday due to a storm that caused severe damage in the St. Louis area. The storm led to alerts for tornadoes and strong winds. One injured person is in critical condition, while others are expected to be released from the hospital soon, reports the New York Post.
Most of the damage occurred in the University City area, with images of fallen trees shared on social media. The National Weather Service reported significant wind damage along Pershing Avenue in west St. Louis, and damage was also located in Clayton.
A resident, Rachel, said, “The skies turned green…The winds started whipping. Then, it fell silent, and then you heard what sounded like a train, and everything started falling.”
