A man who was walking his dog told the police what he witnessed.
“I heard some screaming, I looked up and in that back house … he want down the chimney,”
the witness said.
“He’s in the chimney?”
the officer responded.
The police went up to the roof and found Langlais stuck about halfway down the chimney.
“You’re an idiot,”
one officer can be heard saying in bodycam video .
“Are you stuck? Can you breathe fine?”
The officers had to remove some bricks from the chimney to get Langlais out. He was taken to the hospital for medical evaluation. After he was checked out, the police took him to jail for drug charges and other warrants he had.
