  • Duo Accused of Brutally Attacking and Robbing NYPD Rookie, Arraigned on Attempted Murder Charges

Duo Accused of Brutally Attacking and Robbing NYPD Rookie, Arraigned on Attempted Murder Charges

The violent pair accused of brutally attacking and robbing an off-duty NYPD rookie in the Bronx has been arraigned on attempted murder charges, as reported by the NY Post. Prosecutors claim they beat him so severely that they left a shoeprint on his face.

Officer Chowdhury Nafees, 27, laid in a hospital bed with a shoeprint stamped on his face after the violent assault by Wayne Lucas, 23, and Taveon Hargrove, also 23. A Senior Trial District Attorney urged that Lucas be held without bail in connection with the vicious attack that occurred on May 24 in Westchester Square.

“These two individuals attempted to rob who they thought was a civilian. But upon pushing him to the ground, they found his uniform, learning that this was not just any old person, but this turned out to be an off-duty rookie NYPD police officer on his way to protect and serve,”

said Bronx District Attorney Darcel Clark.

“Upon learning that he was an officer, they took this as an invitation to turn up the violence,”

    the DA said.

Irace stated that the duo threw Nafees to the ground, with Lucas then holding a knife to the victim’s neck while his accomplice, Taveon Hargrove, went through his pockets and stole his loaded service weapon. Lucas was apprehended in Virginia last week and later extradited to New York. He pleaded not guilty as Judge George Villegas arraigned him on a 34-count indictment that includes charges of assault, robbery, grand larceny, and criminal possession of stolen property.

Villegas granted Irace’s request to keep Lucas held without bail. Hargrove, also indicted, was captured in Virginia a day earlier than Lucas but is appealing his extradition. Lucas, who was wearing a wig to hide his identity when arrested, faces the possibility of 15 years to life in prison for the brutal attack. He is scheduled to appear in court again on September 12 and has no previous arrests, according to law enforcement.

She is facing charges including criminal attempt to commit felony murder, reckless abandonment of a child, and first-degree cruelty to children. The sheriff’s office reported that she is being held without bond.

The day prior, deputies were called to the Piedmont Macon Emergency Room regarding a woman experiencing “excessive bleeding,” prompting an investigation into the situation. According to the sheriff, Rappuhn was taken to the hospital by her boyfriend, who noticed her condition at home. Allegedly, as she was leaving, Rappuhn left a trash bag on the back porch. When her boyfriend returned to “retrieve some belongings,” he heard a noise “coming from the bag.” The sheriff stated that he discovered an infant wrapped in towels inside the bag.

    Boyfriend Makes Shocking Discovery

This came as a shock to the boyfriend, as Rappuhn allegedly never told him about her pregnancy or that she had given birth that very day, per the sheriff. She also reportedly did not disclose to anyone at the hospital that she had just given birth when she arrived for treatment. Authorities stated that Rappuhn allegedly gave birth at 4:30 a.m., wrapped the newborn in a towel, and placed him into a trash bag.

A man who identified himself as the father, Dimitrios Mason, told WGXA, that he “forgave her already” for what she did. “I’m so sorry that my baby had to go through this. I just love them both and it’s a hard thing for me,” he continued. “I just pray to God, God forgives her…and that my baby has the best life that he could ever have. California Man on Bond for Attempted Murder Faces Kidnapping Charges for Abducting 89-Year-Old Woman in South Carolina

A California man, who was out on bond for attempted murder, has been arrested for kidnapping and assaulting an elderly woman in South Carolina after she stopped financially supporting him, as reported by Fox News

Enver Marius Zueros, 34, was taken into custody on Monday and faces charges of first-degree burglary, kidnapping, and attempted murder in connection with the extortion of an 89-year-old woman. Authorities revealed that the woman was discovered on Sunday, left for dead with her wrists bound by duct tape, a dog leash around her ankles, and a bag over her head.

Police believe Zueros, who reportedly cross-dresses on social media, had a distant online relationship with the victim’s brother. The woman maintained contact with him through text and email while providing financial help. According to investigators, Zueros, a resident of Mission Viejo, California, became frustrated when she started donating to charities instead of sending him money.

To target her, he allegedly rented an Airbnb in the vicinity. When Zueros was in the woman’s house a retired law enforcement neighbor grew suspicious and rang the doorbell. He gave them a fake name and said that the victim had been hospitalized due to a fall in the shower. The neighbor, still feeling uneasy, went back to his home to retrieve a firearm, according to police. Zueros then fled the scene in the woman’s vehicle.

Authorities later located the car and discovered the woman restrained beneath the rear folding seats in the floorboard. Zueros was apprehended shortly thereafter. The victim suffered minor injuries but is reported to be in good condition, according to Wright. Zueros is currently being held in a local jail where he was denied bond.

  • Man Living In Fear After His Ex-Girlfriend Was Released On Bond For Allegedly Trying To Kill Him

Man Living In Fear After His Ex-Girlfriend Was Released On Bond For Allegedly Trying To Kill Him

HOUSTON — A man is living in fear following the release of his ex-girlfriend, who is accused of shooting him multiple times, per WCNC

Elvis Muñoz was released from the hospital and is recovering at home after he says his ex-girlfriend tried to kill him. Muñoz said his ex, Alexys Pinto, fired so many shots that her gun eventually ran out of bullets. As he heals from surgeries on his lungs, intestines, and hands, he is increasingly concerned about her recent release on bond.

“You’re willing to take care of someone and love them so much for three years and for them to pay you with bullets, try to take your life,” Muñoz told the outlet.

After some reflection, Elvis Muñoz described his past relationship as abusive. Muñoz described his ex as jealous, controlling, and said she would isolate him from his family and friends. On September 5, his ex-girlfriend, Alexys Pinto, allegedly lured him to a secluded area near 288 and Airport Boulevard under the pretense of watching the sunset, where she then opened fire.

“That’s when I felt my left hand get hit,”

    Muñoz said.

“Like I just felt my hand get hot. I was running, holding my chest and stomach.”

Muñoz said she aimed the gun directly at his face, but he was able to move just in time, resulting in a bullet grazing his skin. After emptying her gun on him, he managed to convince Pinto to seek help. She contacted her father and drove Muñoz to a nearby gas station, where help finally arrived. Following multiple surgeries, Muñoz, who once worked as a mechanic, now faces disability with limited use of his hands.

Pinto was released on bond after it was reduced from $75,000 to $10,000. Although she must adhere to strict conditions, including wearing an ankle monitor, Muñoz remains skeptical about her intentions and fears she may attempt to harm him again.

“She might want to come back and do something,”

    he said.

NYC Pizzeria Worker In Critical Condition After Being Attacked By Customer’s Aggressive Pit Bull

The dog’s owner, 35-year-old Tyshaun Watson, was charged with attempted murder and assault for trying to cause serious injury, police reported. He reportedly said he was

    “sorry”

    when he was arrested.

The altercation began when the pizzeria worker told Watson to stop bringing his dog inside without a leash, which escalated to a shouting match between the two. Watson became irate and started kicking and punching the worker, according to police. He then pulled the worker out of the pizzeria, slammed him onto the sidewalk, and hit him multiple times before stepping back, as shown in the surveillance footage.

The pit bull then jumped on the worker and bit him several times. Watson also returned and kicked the worker in the head several times, according to the video. He was unconscious and on a breathing machine on Tuesday morning, according to sources.

California Man Receives Live Rattlesnake In The Mail, Says ‘That’s Attempted Murder If You Ask Me’

A truck driver in Southern California was surprised when he received a package with a live rattlesnake inside, reports USA Today. The driver called 911 after picking up the package at the Twentynine Palms post office and finding the snake.

The police came and passed the case to the U.S. Postal Inspection Service, which is now investigating. Animal Control took the snake away. The driver, 60-year-old Elijah Bowles, said that the sender had put cotton balls in the box to muffle the snake’s sound. He estimated that the snake was about 2 feet long.

“That’s attempted murder, if you ask me,”

    Bowles told the local outlet.

If someone gets bitten by a rattlesnake, they should get medical help within 30 minutes because the bite can be deadly if not treated, reports reveal. Healthline says that if a rattlesnake bite is not treated, it can cause organ failure and death within two to three days.

When opening the package, Bowles was startled and quickly stopped his truck, and put the box outside on the sidewalk. Then, he called 911 and Animal Control for help. A postal inspector mentioned that the package had the word

    “fragile”

written on it with a black marker. It also had a return address from a house in Palm Coast, Florida.

The package was sent from Hayward, California on May 3rd. Rick Boyd, who is in charge of Animal Control in Twentynine Palms, said that the snake was a Western rattlesnake, also known as the Northern Pacific rattlesnake.

Father Sentenced To 13 Years In Prison For Attempted Murder After He Injected Mercury In 1-Year-Old Daughter’s Foot, Reports Say

A German court has handed down a 13-year prison sentence to a 30-year-old man who injected mercury into his one-year-old daughter’s foot, reports AP News. The man’s girlfriend, who participated in the crime, received a 12-year prison sentence.

Following the injection, the daughter developed a severe infection in her foot and experienced a rash across her body. The presence of mercury in her system was discovered accidentally during a third surgery related to the poisoning, DPA reported.

Initially, both the father and his 34-year-old girlfriend denied the charges in court. However, shortly before the trial concluded, the couple confessed to injecting the mercury into the girl’s left foot and right ankle in July of the previous year. The source of the liquid mercury used in the crime remains unclear.
